Should there be net police for unwanted ads, scams and unwanted email?

I think we shouldn't have to report to anyone there should be net police that just go everywhere online especially the most famous sites, goto bulletin boards and just pretty much concentrate on getting rid of websites that

1. steal your info your email sell it to other people and then eventually flood you with junk mail.

2. people who post ads in bulletin boards, when noone wants to read them.

3. and other things...

what do you think?

we could call them

IPP - or Internet Peace Police

If the internet was centralized then yes, this would be possible. However due to the nature of decentralization, users being able to host their own sites off their PC's, protected websites, etc etc, it is really upto the webmaster to keep this under control. It is not possible with the current internet architecture to sustain a force that people will be afraid of.

I'd probably call them the Web Patrol but yeah, I think they should track them all down like dogs then beat the living #$%%26amp; out of them.
