i dont think you exagerated about the myspace bulletin. But i think that you guys dont have a big problem. I couldnt quite understand your question. But I dont think he was trying to cheat on you or anything, maybe he felt insecure and posted something like that to feel better about himself. You shouldnt be mad at him for long. I mean as you said he did say cute things and you know he wouldnt cheat on you, so you practically have nothing to worry about. and if you get mad for things that he doesnt think are big deals, then thats normal because you both have different perspectives of things. Talk to him, and just be happy! Trust him!

I see it as metaphorically related to a rock climber. The Church knows that it has to keep climbing towards excellence, but there's always the danger of falling, and of never knowing your exact way up. Anyone agree?

Los Angeles Cardinal Mahoney goes way beyond human failure all the way to criminal behavior in the cover up of child abuse. The church is not "climbing towards excellence", but is doing what it always has done...bilking its membership...the same as all organized religion.

Here is a good book on catholic history that I think will give U tremendous Insight into the history %26amp; the Future for the church. It's called Halley's Bible Handbook and is a very good source on the "Early church" and Scriptures. Religion is always trying to "Direct peoples Lives" (have them jump through 'Hoops'), when Christianity (it's Not Religion) is allowing the Holy Spirit %26amp; Scripture to "Run the Show". Jn. 14:6 says: "I (Christ) am the 'Way', the 'Truth' %26amp; the 'Life', no man enters unto the Father but through Me.", so what more does one need??? John

I have seen this before and the answer then was the capital "i"s on the test were actually lower case "L"s. I did everything I could think of to the test and the capital "i"s appear to be "i"s.

Since my best efforts failed to unravel the puzzle, I guess I failed and can't answer the question.

Unless the error is in the question itself. Note there are no capital letters in any of the three "questions" and apostrophes are missing from "what's" and "can't". The second "question" is, in fact, not a question, it has no interrogator word, clause or phrase.

EDIT: To Alex, I copied the test into MS Word 2003. After hi-lighting the whole test I changed case. I.E. I made all the letters into lower case and used the word processor to make the change globally rather than simply type over the existing letters. The upper case "i"s changed to lower case "i"s. Additionally I copied the test into the block where we answer questions. After typing uppercase "i"s and lower case "L"s I found the spacing to be different for the lowercase "L"s and the same for the uppercase "i"s. In short, the "i"s are correct.

Why do people have kids if their going to abuse them? I just read this bulletin on myspace about a 3 year old getting abused. What makes parents want to do that to their children? It's not the childrens fault their parents couldn't keep their pants zipped, if you know what I mean.

But I don't think that most people have children and plan to abuse them. It just happens. Maybe they're mentally unstable, or using drugs. Maybe life is just too much for them. I don't think these are excuses, but I think that's about all the answer we're ever going to get.

I agree with you. i think that the parents were very young when they had kids and it compleyely wrecked their lives. i saw a video on youtube about a girl who was being abused by her mom, the girl thought that it was a normal thing for her mom to hit her and choke her. If you do some research, a lot of physically abused children grow up in poor communities and families. These families don't have access to therapy, child specialists, or have a higher education. They simply don't know what they are doing, and can't help themselves.

Tax breaks and government money given to people for having children also doesn't help.

Under education in sex makes sure that people who aren't ready for a commitment to babies have them.

I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old. A few days ago, my 2 month old was screaming for a full hour and my 2 year old was throwing a tantrum and being in a bad mood for that same hour. I had screaming kids for 90 minutes straight. It was just a really bad day.

I could see why some people just snap. Did I snap? No, but I could see why and how some parents could just reach the point to SNAP and abuse their children.

Kids are tough. And unless you've been a parent, it's hard to relate to those parents. Yes there are some parents who are just naturally terrible at parenting, but then there are the rest of the parents who just are at their limit and aren't heard when they call for help.

Especially with little kids, it's tough.

It's no excuse to harm a child, but if you are in a high stress situation and it just keeps getting worse, sometimes that is your ONLY CONTROL. There was a show on this on Lifetime or something--when you become a parent and are sleep deprieved, you'll understand it more. Our first child had colic for 3 months. There comes a point when you are so exhausted and so frustrated that it would be SO easy to shake that baby to make him shut up. Thankfully my husband and I had amazing support and were able to have outside help.

It's no excuse, but when you are driven to the edge it is more than a possibility and solution to the frustration.

There is absolutely no excuse for child abuse, but sometimes the parents themselves grew up in an abusive home and just don't really know different. Sometimes they can't distinguish discipline from abuse because of their own upbringing.

As a sad fact, child abuse sky rocketed when abortion became legal.

Your linework should be smoother: try inking with a #5 red sable watercolor brush before you put it into Photoshop. Vary the line thickness(this takes practice, but it's fun).

The eyes look a bit weird. The left eye (the eye on the right) looks like it's looking straight ahead, while the other eye looks like it's looking a bit sideways.

Well, if i'm to assume that the pose and character are whats understood to be nessesary and the pictures professionalism is reliant on other factors. Then i would say its the unsteady ink outline and the volume of ink around the character that would make me flag the picture. Too much ink makes the object look flat while the unsteady line makes it look jagged.

I read a book called Edge of Twilight by Maggie Shayne.

I didn閳ユ獩 relies that it was going to be about vampires and sick things.

Now its to late to switch books and my project is due in two days.

I have to do a mural on the book.

Hi

I am looking to introduce a question and answer time in my Sunday School Class. Questions will be used to introduce lessons or subjects and/or to invite thinking and wonder. I would appreciate your help in forming a good list of topics with questions and answers for a resource tool.

My students are 5th and 6th graders but are advanced in their studies, knowledge, and biblical knowledge. I also have an interactive bulletin board for Junior and Senior Higher's.

The one thing that kids need to be taught that adults don't necessarily need to know is the whole creation/evolution debate.

Maybe your church is different, but the churches I have visited haven't had much about creation. This is most likely because the adults are confident enough in their beliefs that no one is going to sway them, and there are more important issues to deal with first.

But kids have to face their evolution-believing science teacher five days a week. To make matters worse, the adult is older, wiser, and most likely knows his science better. Especially for boys, this is a hugely important and largely ignored topic by most youth groups and Sunday schools.

So for Q%26amp;A time you could give hypothetical situations, like their teacher confronting them about their faith, or their friends, and ask them how they would react. But before you do that, you might want to actually teach your kids some science, so the questions would involve science, such as "Why is the human tailbone not (as many evolutionists claim) vestigal." Okay, so you might not want to ask that particular one, especial to a group of junior high boys, but you get the idea.

In fact, this general format would work for any sort of apologetics course. To introduce the topic, you could ask a question they will likely come up against sometime in their life, and then you could move on towards the lesson. At the end, you could ask how they would respond to the situation if it was their friend, not their Sunday school teacher, who was asking.

Oh, and whatever you do, don't treat them (especially the high-schoolers) like kids. They're going to need to learn to think and argue like adults, because they're approaching the age where they might have to start going up against adults, or at least kids who are parroting adults.

I realize this all has to do with apologetics, but in the age of atheistic public schools, I believe apologetics is even more important for kids than adults. I hope this helps, and good luck!

I have seen this before and the answer then was the capital "i"s on the test were actually lower case "L"s. I did everything I could think of to the test and the capital "i"s appear to be "i"s.

Since my best efforts failed to unravel the puzzle, I guess I failed and can't answer the question.

Unless the error is in the question itself. Note there are no capital letters in any of the three "questions" and apostrophes are missing from "what's" and "can't". The second "question" is, in fact, not a question, it has no interrogator word, clause or phrase.

Good luck, I hope you get a better answer from someone else.

EDIT: To Alex, I copied the test into MS Word 2003. After hi-lighting the whole test I changed case. I.E. I made all the letters into lower case and used the word processor to make the change globally rather than simply type over the existing letters. The upper case "i"s changed to lower case "i"s. Additionally I copied the test into the block where we answer questions. After typing uppercase "i"s and lower case "L"s I found the spacing to be different for the lowercase "L"s and the same for the uppercase "i"s. In short, the "i"s are correct.

Second Edit: Sorry the "O"s are "O"s and not zeros (0).

The best advertisement is what you get from people who speak to other people (word of mouth). So tell all your friends to tell their friends what you are doing.

Tell as many people as you meet in a day of what you are doing. Talk to children, mothers, fathers, grandparents, anyone who will listen. Hand out business cards.

Being a pleasant, encouraging person who is friendly and wants to help is a terrific way of getting children to come to your class.

Posting posters at different stations is also an excellent way of attracting students, so don't count that out all together.

i am finally getting my bedroom done over!

i am 14 just so you know and i need help with my ideas.

the walls are probably going to be painted a light pink color and i'm not sure about the carpet...but maybe cream or something. here are my ideas:

Hey people. My friend owns a VB Bulletin forum, and my computer allowed me to go on it for days. Then he set me up an email address for it and then when I tried to change my pass it wouldn't work so I wanted to go on the forum and ask why it wouldn't, but my computer wont let me on the forum, or anything that is to do with it :S

Any ideas whats wrong? I have no idea! The owner doesn't either, it works fine for everyone else, it's just me.

How do you use Mountain Math?

Is Mountain Math helpful? Do you need a huge bulletin board to hold all of it? How do you make the pockets for the cards? Is this program easy to manage, or is it more trouble than it's worth?

How do you use Mountain Math?

Suggestions:

Laminate all the cards before cutting them out.

Use binder clips (they are black and have silver parts that flip up so you can squeeze them to open the black part to put the stack of cards in) 1 or two for each stack of cards.

The board doesn't have to be that big, maybe 4' by 4'

Use as a self start and assign students to do 4-5 (or whatever ) per day and have it be due Friday.

Do this with the students for like two weeks every day to model exactly what to do.

Use it as a participation grade and spot check.

medela's bottles are bisphenol A FREE

the free bottles tend to have a hazy coloring to them intead of that clear shiny "pretty" appearance

this is also a good reason to use glass bottles

What the first person said is true. The milky or hazy colored bottles that are more flexible are the better ones. The hard, inflexible plastic bottles that are completely clear are unsafe.

FYI - glass bottles may not be a good choice for pumping moms because the antibodies in breast milk stick to glass at a microscopic level.

Oh my I didn't even think of this when I decided to nurse my son. My other children were adopted so I did not get the chance to nurse. I used Playtex nursers for all my kids as they have such a wide variety of nipples to choose from and then the bottles did not go to waste. I use the Playtex bottle for when I supplement which is probably 1 time every other week or so. I also use the Playtex breast milk storage container so I do not have transfer the milk from one container to other. They are very hard to find though and I had to order them because I could not find them in stores.

I'm not going to talk about bottles and studies. It seems you had good answers above, as well as links to websites. My thought, however, can be used for any publicity for or against a product. Don't change your life drastically because of any news on food or product. Be sensible and remember there are a lot of healthy kids running around who have been bottle fed with one of those bottles. I'm saying this because my daughter is one of them.

If you are mostly breastfeeding your child, that's great! Don't stress too much over scientific studies results. If those bottle presented such significant harm to a baby they would have all been recalled. Enjoy your little one and don't worry too much about exagerated publicity.

I would think that the Playtex Nursers are safe. I use them with my son and the standard liners rather than the drop ins. I don't understand how the plastic would leach chemicals if it never touches the milk.

Yes, this has happened to others, As just the other day I answered 2 people's posting on almost same topic/ problems. One fellow actual had his yahoo mail accounts shut down, can't retrieve anything our of his private e mail, because of this same problem. (Check similar posting. You would be surprised just how many are in this or like this same boat!)

Now, I myself have had 3 violations that clearly make no sense to me WHAT SO EVER!!! I could see trash talk, porno and something along those lines... BUT NOT SO.

So yes, there is other whom are facing this similar attack.

Should I quit being an RA?

I have been an RA since the second semester of my sophomore year, I am now a senior and I am thinking of quitting. I just don't have time for anything anymore. I have been quite miserable so far this year and I can't take it anymore. I really think if I quit being an RA, things would be easier because I would have more time to go out with friends and I wouldn't have to be on duty and do bulletin boards and plan programs and all that. The only thing is I would then have to pay for room and board, might be stuck with a roomate and I would kind of feel weird not doing it. I don't know what to do will someone please help me? I'm going crazy here.

What about the income, don't you get paid in addition to the free room? Also, how does this play out on a resume' I would think it would look good on one. Now its to late to switch books and my project is due in two days.

My boss recently re-decorated the office.

It's not ours to keep. When we leave, it stays.

It's her business, her office, and her stuff.

I feel like I shouldn't have to say thank you. It wasn't a personal gift. We didn't suggest the re-decoration. We weren't involved in the decision making process, or in the actual painting/ decorating. We don't get to keep any of the stuff. I feel like she bought it for herself and we get to use it. No thank you necessary.

You are wrong and rude. It is something for her business in as much as its a bonus for her staff. It boosts moral and shows that she cares about her business and the people in it. Why would you get to keep any of it? That's silly.

You should appreciate a clean, pleasant, nice looking work place. THAT in itself is a gift, you're looking at things in to much of a material way. You're not seeing the value she poured into the place.

Yes, you are. Office decoration is never the employers' to take away when they leave, but it makes half of their life more pleasant working in a nice, clean, trendy environment which they should learn to appreciate.
