Is Mountain Math helpful? Do you need a huge bulletin board to hold all of it? How do you make the pockets for the cards? Is this program easy to manage, or is it more trouble than it's worth?
How do you use Mountain Math?
Suggestions:
Laminate all the cards before cutting them out.
Use binder clips (they are black and have silver parts that flip up so you can squeeze them to open the black part to put the stack of cards in) 1 or two for each stack of cards.
The board doesn't have to be that big, maybe 4' by 4'
Use as a self start and assign students to do 4-5 (or whatever ) per day and have it be due Friday.
Do this with the students for like two weeks every day to model exactly what to do.
Use it as a participation grade and spot check.
