If my parents apply for my green card , how long is it gonna take me to get a green card?

My parents came to USA with green card in October 2003, by October 2008 they will be US citizen. I came to USA as a F1 Student. I am 27, Single. If my parents apply for my green card after they become citizen, how long is it gonna take me to get a green card? According to the Visa bulletin, there is a 6 year back log. So does it apply if I live in USA or out side of USA ?

Yak Rider is right. Since you're over 21 you would be an F-1. In any case, the priority date doesn't depend on where you are. However, if you want to become an immigrant while waiting in the US, make sure you remain in status here legally. Otherwise, you'll be creating additional problems for yourself that you may not be able to overcome. Too bad your parents didn't file for you immediately after they arrived. While F22 petitons do take a lot of time, they are upgradeable to F1 petitions once the petitioner becomes a US citizen and the priority date of the original petition would be retained.

It applies no matter where you are at. There's no way to cut to the front of the line. If your student visa runs out you'll have to go back to your own country and wait. Don't make the mistake of becoming an illegal alien while waiting.
