How many people close to you have died %26amp; how did you cope?

I've had many people die that I have known through the years %26amp; I coped by writing poems or making collages in memory of them or just keeping their memorial card or bulletin.

my mothers part of the family get cancer.. dads side live forever haha. even my cousins are starting to die of cancer ... to try and deal with it as best as you can .. time does help a little.

I've been in the healthcare field for a few years now, and yes I do get attached to certain clients. and sadly a lot of them have passed away. I usually clip their obituary and/or keep the memorial card from the service. it's never easy to cope, but time heals all wounds.

both grandmothers, my mother, my father, one great grandmother, my aunt. at first, it took much prayer to begin the healing process. i cope by remembering the good in them. focusing on good memories and not bad. i also write poetry.

Too many but losing my Dad was and still is hard for me , he died 13 years ago and i feel so incomplete without him . How do i cope , i just do , its in my nature i am a survivor .. I think about him and talk to him all the time and i am convinced that our departed loved ones aren`t too far away . I am sure they can still keep tabs on us lol ...

Everyone in my family. My dad,mother and sister. I said once to my mother before she passed that when I get old I will not have anyone to reminisce growing up with. Something I will miss dearly.

my daughter died as an infant i was 19

my father is very ill and dieing

you just get though it one day at a time

Lets see...about 8 people so far..both sets of Grandparents,Dad,Husband,

Nephew,%26amp; Sis in Law...

each provided different emotions so I coped accordingly...

I am not sure why but I found some comfort in watching TV cooking shows..odd but true..

plus I visit the cemetary %26amp; crypts and talk to them when I need to..

Their spirits live within my heart always..=)

All my grandparents, my mom, both of my brothers have died.

I coped by grieving for them. I cried and felt deep pain. For a few of them I've talked with a counselor because I had unresolved problems with them when they died. I went to a support group after my mom died, for a while. I had the very most difficulty with her death because she had been abusive when I was little. I also pray. God has helped me heal inside. I never have been a poetry writer; sometimes I journal my thoughts.

I think you have a very nice way of memorializing the ones you have lost. I hope you are doing OK now.

4... 3 grandparents and an uncle.

With 3 out of the 4 people I had strange experiences surrounding their deaths.. I would see them, or dream about them the day or night they died... So I figure they gave ME peace.

I'm not one that likes the whole after the funeral get together... they really bug me. I'd rather handle my grief by going for a walk and thinking about them...

And a lot will come out in my art... whether I realize it at or not... I look at it months later and can see the process.

I have had several. The latest one was my husband, he died last month after a five year battle with cancer. I turn to God and my church family for support and caring.
