my mechanic says my fuel injectors are clogging, he recommended I run cleaner through a couple of tanks of gas, then he said GMC issued a Technical Service Bulletin stating that this has been a common issue and owners should use fuel injector cleaner (as my mechanic recommended) then start using High Octane on a permanent basis. My mechanic said it was because there is too much ethanol in gas these days and the engines have a hard time running on it. I think this is crazy, running a basic work truck on high octane. Also...........how do I use the cleaner, do I just dump it in and drive around? What kind should I use?

Usually the directions are on the container,Just dump it in and go to wherever. Drive it normally ,the stuff will do the job.

i dont know who your tech is...but i went to gm school and NO auto manufacturer recommends puttin ANYTHING in the fuel.there is alot of ethanol i nthe fuel these days,all the better reason not to add any cleaner..as it contains MORE.ive seen only 3 clogged injectors in my 16 yrs as a technician..i suspect its something else.Ive never seen the injector cleaner fix anything.try another shop.

It`s like Danie said, and you may just be experiencing spark tracking to ground at the spark plugs causing missfires.

Your mechanic is correct about the Bulletin, in fact the # is 03-06-04-030F. As for it saying to use high octane he misunderstood what it says, it states "customers should be encouraged to use Top Tier Detergent Gasoline" which all fuel from major oil companies is. Not to use Ma's Gas %26amp; Nails.

The cleaning that is to be done is with a tool that connects to the fuel rail, allowing the truck to run only on the cleaning solution. I know we charge $100 or so for an injector and throttle body cleaning.

I have a 2002 Prius. The 12 volt Battery is dead. The dealer indicated that a replacement battery is $135.00 plus a $50.00 for a bracket kit. The parts person indicate that Toyota has a bulletin about the original OEM battery discharging on owners with short trip driving habits. The new battery is bigger and offer more storage capacity. As expected, non of the auto parts stores offer a replacement battery. I looked up replacements on the web and came across this site: http://www.elearnaid.com/12vobaforpr2.ht... which claims 200 successful replacements with a Mazda Miata Battery and home made upgrade kit.

Can anyone shed some light on this claim? Have you used such substitute? Are there any concerns or negative impacts on the vehicle electrical system? Are there any other feasible alternative?

The Prius' 12v accessory battery is located in the trunk, and therefore special consideration should be given for outgassing/ventilation. Physical sizing is also an issue (hence why you need the new fitting kit), as is the oddly shaped/positioned Japanese battery posts. (OE battery is an AGM type and about the size of a motorcycle battery.)

A 12 v. battery is a 12 v. battery. You cannot damage the electrical system by putting one in that has more CCA's. I have always put bigger batteries in every car I have owned. The more you have to work with the better off you are. The only obstacle is the dimensions of the battery compartment.

Consequently, there is no acid that can spill into the trunk. It also has attachments for a vent hose so any gases are vented outside of the car. The battery does not normally emit gases but can do so with heavy over charging with pressure building up and the valves in the batteries releasing." Normally a battery doesn't go in the trunk and I wouldn't recommend it. Putting one in the trunk usually means putting it near the gas tank and even though it sounds like a good idea to say freshen the air in the trunk it isn't because the battery might explode. It also makes the battery no-good before it explodes.

A couple Sundays ago, I arrived at Church just as the minister was speaking, the only empty seat was the front row. After service, Pastor came up to my family and apologized for there not being enough seats. I quickly piped up, "Yes, some people always have to have the back of the Church, the front of the bus and the center of attention." We decided to play a prank on a friend of mine and put his wife and kids up for sale on a bulletin board in an old rundown laundrymat. We also listed him to be the leader of the local KKK.

I know it sounds bad but we use to prank each other all the time.

Now the owner of the laundry contacted my friend who was pranked and the owner told him that the police should be to see me in a few days for criminal impersanation charges.

Is this an actual case and a crime??

Please let me know asap so I know what I should do. This "crime" was committed in ohio.

However, the owner has a right to be upset. This is open to the public, and there may be customers who do not appreciate your sense of humor. He could probably make a pretty good arguement for disorderly conduct, or something similar.

Or.... Maybe your buddies are pranking you back, and put the laundromat owner up to it. That would be funny.

I suggest you apologize to the owner, and not use his board in the future for your pranks.

I'm a senior in high school and I've had a beautiful relationship with my boyfriend for about 8 months now. Going on 9 In early December, I started noticing some new characteristics about him that I had either never recognized before, or they were never there until that particular time. He seems possessive- if possessive means yelling at me when I had told him a boy friend at school bought me lunch because I had forgotten money, calling me a whore, and then getting angry about having boy friend's yearbook pictures on my bulletin board. I don't go out to parties because I don't want him to get mad, yet he goes out when he wants to. The thing is, after he gets his temper, he always apologizes and says he doesn't think before he speaks, so I always sort of brush it off like it never happend. Some men can have a pattern of being controlling like this, and when you don't act up to their "standards" they blow up and say cruel things.

Then, they say I'm sorry, and expect you to forgive them for being this way.

This is a controlling device. He may not realize what he is doing, but he is manipulating you in order to assuage his own insecurities and anger.

I think you should sit down and have a heart-to-heart with him, and tell him that you care for him, you don't want to break up, but that you feel his behavior is unwholesome and unhealthy and that is not what you want in a guy.

No more yelling, no more insecure possessiveness, no more trying to live your life for you.

Ok I need to sell EVERYTHING of mine as I am moving, but I found out my building doesn't allow sales of any kind.

How do I go about getting rid of everything without posting signs. I have considered having an "invitation only" moving sale. Where there are no signs, but I posted online and on bulletin boards saying call such and such for the address. I will also instruct everyone that if anyone asks, then they are just "visiting".

Another idea we had (because we are in the same boat as you!) is putting together "starter packages" for college students entering student housing . . . . i.e. toaster,coffee maker, kitchen linens, bathroom linens, desk top accessories. Maybe I'm jaded, but I think my MA in History makes me better qualified to teach History than some bozo who took "Grade Books and Bulletin Boards 101" while I was writing long papers and reading thousands of pages of History, but under the laws of virtually every State in the Union he has 100 job opportunities to my 1. We BOZOs who took the education courses also took major courses. All of our courses, major and in ed required reading and papers. We also worked as student teachers for FREE while paying tuition to the college.

Something tells me you do not need an answer. But, I will tell you what I do. First, read James I think it tells believers how to treat others. Second, read Jesus' gripe about the Pharisees and Sadducee's as they apply to us more than we like to think.

If I have time, out of respect for them not out of inconvenience, I go and speak with them and make them feel welcome. I try to get to know them, but if I feel like I am imposing I back off and leave them to their own devices. By getting to know them I mean trying to find commonality. Work, food, entertainment, where they are from, activities, children etc...

If it is early I will invite them to our Sunday School Class or show them to others if they like. Introduce them to the Pastor or associates etc...

Now I do not do this so they will become members and the like, though that would be nice, I want them to feel like they came to church with family or friends and that we worshiped together not in the same room.

I don't know how old you are, but it sounds pretty young. How many times do you argue like this? Every relationship has to have it's arguments, but it has to be done fairly. One person cannot dominate the fight. And that is what he did. And because of his own insecurities. But he came back and apologized for saying things he didn't mean. That's good. Now you need to start keeping track of how often that happens. If it starts to happen all the time, then maybe you should consider leaving the relationship. This constitutes as verbal abuse. i was on myspace and a bulletin said this is the saddest video i have ever seen so i opened it. it was a video of a cute black puppy. and then you see a lady (just her legs) she has heels on and squishes the dog with her heels i did not watch the whole thing it was sickening and it made me cry. do a lot of people do this? JW.

Go to myspace groups and type in animal abuse and you will see a certain group that have a video about these guys killing dogs and puppies with gas. That is soooo sad!! =( ..i did a report on animal cruelty and i saw soo many sickening videos and pics..=( it was sooo sad...i hate the world of what it has become..helpless animals on the streets...i read this newspaper article online and 2 boys set a dog on fire!! i was yelling at the computer when i read this! it was soooo sad!! i saw a pic of the dog and i started crying. Thankfully it was ok..but i hate animal abusers...i want to stop them, especailly dog fighting...if you havent seen the movie: White Fang, go see it cause it has animal cruelty in it..i couldnt see the whole movie after..i hate this animal cruelty world..its soo bad..we need to put a stop to this if we work together!

I think we shouldn't have to report to anyone there should be net police that just go everywhere online especially the most famous sites, goto bulletin boards and just pretty much concentrate on getting rid of websites that

1. steal your info your email sell it to other people and then eventually flood you with junk mail.

If the internet was centralized then yes, this would be possible. However due to the nature of decentralization, users being able to host their own sites off their PC's, protected websites, etc etc, it is really upto the webmaster to keep this under control. It is not possible with the current internet architecture to sustain a force that people will be afraid of.

We decided to play a prank on a friend of mine and put his wife and kids up for sale on a bulletin board in an old rundown laundrymat. We also listed him to be the leader of the local KKK.

I know it sounds bad but we use to prank each other all the time.

Now the owner of the laundry contacted my friend who was pranked and the owner told him that the police should be to see me in a few days for criminal impersanation charges.

Is this an actual case and a crime??

Please let me know asap so I know what I should do. This "crime" was committed in ohio.

Resident Advisor--need ideas!?

I am applying to become a Resident Advisor at my school. I think I would be good at it because a Resident Advisor needs to be a people person, and I am very outgoing and friendly. I also like to help people, and that is the perfect position to do so.

Unfortunately, I have no leadership experience. Therefore, I cannot make it sound like I know what I am doing, and I may come off as being aloof, in my own world, or even ditzy.

I know that as well as connecting with the students on a personal level and helping them to fix up their rooms, there are other jobs entailed.

These include posting educational and inspirational bulletin boards, holding monthly floor meetings, and implementing residence hall projects. What are some good ideas for bulletin board topics and floor projects?

The dorm may be either co-ed (around 30 people) or all women (up to 60 people). I go to a music school, specifically for singers, pianists, and organists (mostly singers).

Resident Advisor--need ideas!?

First of all, if you have ever babysat or anything you have at least some leadership experience. But here are some ideas for boards.

Putting pockets (made with those 3 by five cards) for your residents, and writing their name on them. Everyday or once a week or something put an inspirational quote, candy, etc. in them. It is cool because then your residents will also start giving them to eachother.

My RA once posted a bunch of brain teasers, that was really fun.

As far as inspirational stories, an all time favorite is the bumble bee one. They aren't supposed to be able to fly but they can.

Other more obvious ones are like 10 ways to be successful in college tc.

I don't know what floor projects are. But one time everyone in my dorm went to a corn maze, that was pretty sweet. We also went to the coast. I hope that helps.
